When God closes a Window, Sometimes He Opens a Door

You know the phrase? "When God closes a door, some way He opens a window." I remember hearing it in "The sound of Music," and thinking that in my experiences in life, He often closes windows in order to open doors. I've been wondering if that is what He is doing in my life right now, actually.

I've had some doors close in the last year, and I've started to get the impression that God is doing something different in my life. All these doors are closing, so perhaps a new one is about to open? It was a pretty strong hunch I had a few weeks ago.
Now, I may have an idea what God is doing. Just a little bit. It does seem like perhaps right around the corner are some transitions. I am afraid of what those transitions are, but I am trusting that just as God has led me through so much in the past, He will get me through these now. He is doing something good and beautiful in my life both in sanctifying me and in blessing me.
Perhaps, He is closing a window. Perhaps He has closed several. Sometimes they were closed to preserve my energy and help me focus on what really matters. Other times those doors closed so that I could be disciplined and learn from my mistakes.
Whatever the reason, however the circumstances unfolded; God has been gracious to lead and guide me toward a new bend in the road. I am expectant and excited for what is to come knowing that He holds the future in His hands.
Across this website, you'll see me reference Ephesians 3:20. I think this verse summarizes exactly what is on my heart today.
"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20
