Hello, Everyone! This post is going to simply be me introducing myself and explaining what the Auburn Lady is all about.
THE NAME
Througout my twenties, I've had some fun doing my hair in several different colors. Black, Blonde, and auburn. As you can guess, my favorite color was auburn! I naturally have brown hair, (See picture below) but for some reason, having auburn hair was particularly fun and dramatic for me. I chose the name because it was unique, and because I love the idea of being a lady, someone with refined taste, a classy way of life, and a courteous and thoughtful disposition. I don't follow that description perfectly by a long shot. (Ahem) But, once again the idea has stuck, so here we are!

THE VISION
The subtitle for my brand is "Romanticizing simplicity while Illuminating Him" and here at the Auburn Lady that's what I intend to do. My desire is to integrate my love for God with my simple lifestyle in such a way that you are inspired to fall more deeply in love with God too and find joy in the simple things of life.
BREAKING IT DOWN
Romanticizing Simplicity
If I could summarize the way I view my passion for life, and share it in such a way that you catch the vision, I would summarize it by being dramatic with Anne Shirley and saying that I LOVE to Romanticize the simple things of life.
My husband and I live in a small, two-bedroom apartment. We don't take lavish trips and my job is pretty simple. My husband is a carpenter, and I am a church secretary by day and a ballet instructor by night. :) Still, I honestly adore my little life. I can honestly say that our small income is OK with me. In fact, I prefer it this way. I love to wake up in the morning, know that I can accomplish my to-do list and still have time to play Enya on Pandora, light a candle, and waltz around the living room in the morning sunlight. For me, it's all about taking each moment and looking for the beauty in it. I hope that you'll join me on this journey of Romaticizing the simple things of life.
Illuminating Him
I wanted to use the word "illuminating" as a reference to my candle business which you can find here - theAuburnLady - Etsy
Illuminating Him is about shedding light on how BEAUTIFUL God is! Just being real, 2022 was an awful year for me! But one thing I kept finding was I am NOTHING without HIM. Without Him nothing makes sense. Our salvation is found in Christ Alone, and our identity as believers hinges on Him. We take on His Image, and now our guiding principle for life is more of Him.
I hope at the end of every time you read these words, you hear Him whisper His love and truth into your heart. I pray that you stand in Awe of Him.
